Pizza Anyone?

It has been an amazing week for the Jewel!  To begin, Easter celebrations were begun with a welcoming dinner sponsored by the amazing Wendy Coslett as she opened her doors and dining table to family and many neighbors. A feast of lamb on the grill accompanied by perfectly grilled asparagus just added to the celebration. Of course, then we had Bin Laden whose demise we all owe to the amazing men and women of our armed forces, especially the Navy Seals. But even more important, at least for the Jewel, was the return of Councilman Zellers after his multi-bypass surgery. Along with Ed of course is "Bailee"  who is more than happy to be back! Speaking of neighbors, Judy Kohl surprised the Zellers with a heart healthy home cooked meal as they settled back into their home.  Judy you have a heart of gold and the energy of the sun.

Will and Karen Working Hard

Get there early!
The blogger was amazed when he learned from our Town Crier, Thomas H., that Marzella's was about to open on Easter weekend.  While the B-Blogger and his partner have yet to sample the food, reports from neighbors are overwhelmingly favorably.  Pat and Mike B. state its perfect for company and the grand kids, you must try the Hoagie.  JoAnn Hollidge boasts that the burgers are the best in the County and don't forget to get the fries.  So the B-Blogger wants your opinion, so please make a post!   While some of us were eating the B-Blogger got to watch some real work as Karen and Will R. renewed their boat with elbow grease, paint and wax.  Clearly this ship will take on the Queen Mary, anytime.  Speaking of Queens, did you watch the Royal Wedding? Longtime resident and now friend Millie Massey reports she woke at 4 AM and to her surprise was glued to the TV with her mom of 90.  Millie's daughter Jackie lives in London and assured her Mom and Grandma had all the necessary accouterments.  But what is up with Kate's brother, have you seen the video? Do you think we should invite him to Betterton Day?

There is a lot more coming this summer.  Clean out your home and garage and bring it to the Betterton Firehouse for the Community Flea Market on the 24th of May.  It is also not too late to start on a Betterton Day float, perhaps we can follow on the lead of First Friday and invite the KCHS artists to design one of their own?  The B- Blogger wants to know what is on your mind?
